Eczema

Synonymous with dermatitis. An inflammatory condition of the skin, either acute or chronic, that may result in redness, scales, crusts, papules, or vesicles (fluid-filled blisters), and often itches or burns. Eczema can be caused by either internal factors, such as infections, or by external contact with allergens, such as detergents or perfumes.
