Ultraviolet Light

A specific range in the wavelength of light that is beyond the visible spectrum. Sources include rays emitted by artificial (e.g., certain lamps) and natural (e.g., sun, ionizing gases, etc.) sources. The spectrum includes UV-A (wavelengths 320-400 nm) and UV-B (290-320 nm). UV-B is the most important wavelength that causes sunburn.
